St
Ursula Medal & Chain

This antique 16K
solid gold medallion of St Ursula, was made by a master engraver
and jeweller with a one of a kind look. This is such a beautiful
piece of work and was made for a very special occasion, a
graduation gift from the parents to their daughter. The medallion
was made in Toledo Ohio in 1908.
A Miss Pauline
Thierweehter graduated from the St Ursuline Academy which was an
all girls college. She went there for many years before graduating.
This piece has a picture of St Ursula engraved on the front. This
piece has been taken to a jeweller and he was amazed by this piece
as quoted 'this medallion had been made beautifully and the
engraving done by a master engraver. A master engraver must have at
least over 60 years of engraving. The medallion looks like it has
only been worn once or twice as there is no signs of wear in the
eye loop where the necklace threads through. There are no
dints, in excellent condition and not bent.'
This is a very rare
piece that should be in someone's collection.
It is hallmarked
16K Solid Gold on the medallion. The length is just under 5cm's and
the width is 3cm's. There is so much art work on this piece and it
is absolutely beautiful. It also comes with a matching plated
necklace.
