Saint Thomas Aquinas College
About STAC
Outstanding Growth
On the 28th January 1997, three priests and four teachers presided over the very first General Assembly of the newly opened Saint
Thomas Aquinas College. Before them, forty young men were standing in perfect rows on a a still fresh asphalt area. The first
students of the College, coming from different parts of the country and even overseas, were on the eve of starting their first day at school
in the little town of Tynong, Victoria.
Ten years later, on the 30th January 2007, a General Assembly was held at the same place. But this time, it wasn't forty,
but rather 295 girls and boys who lined up by grade in a much more limited area. Four priests and 23 teachers now form the teaching
body of Saint Thomas Aquinas College.
With your generous support, STAC will continue to accommodate the expanding needs of the local community in 2008 and
beyond.

In sport, just as an example of outstanding achievement, our girls’ cricket team won the State Final in 2006 and 2007 even though
competing against some of the best schools in Victoria.
As for the moral results of our teaching, the testimonies given by all those who are in contact with our students never cease to
praise their dedication, work ethic, friendliness and good manners.
